4. Cancun’s Aquatic Form Demesne – Art Beneath the swells
Off the seacoast of Cancun, Mexico, lies one of the most unusual art galleries in the world — because it’s aquatic! Hundreds of life- sized statues, carved by artist Jason deCaires Taylor, sit beneath the swells, sluggishly getting part of the marine ecosystem. Not only is it a stirring dive point, but it also serves as an artificial reef, helping to cover the original coral.
