8. Common Krait
Another deadly snake from India, the common krait, is one of the “big four”—the” species responsible for most snakebite deaths in the country. Its black and white rings help it blend in with the forest floor, making it hard to spot. It’s not aggressive, but when it bites, it holds on tight, injecting venom that paralyses its victim and stops their breathing.
