4. Temple of Artemis – Turkey
This temple, built in Ephesus (modern-day Turkey), was dedicated to Artemis, the goddess of nature and beauty. It was rebuilt several times after being destroyed in wars and natural disasters.
Final destruction: 262 AD during an invasion
Today: Only ruins remain
Back then, it was one of the most beautiful temples in the world.
