Procoptodon was the largest kangaroo species ever discovered.

  • Much taller and heavier than modern kangaroos
  • Short, flat face similar to a bulldog
  • Extremely strong body
  • Herbivorous diet

Because of its size and strength, predators of that time rarely attacked it. It lived alongside dangerous animals like Megalania (giant lizard).

Procoptodon went extinct around 18,000 years ago, likely due to climate changes and human hunting.
