6. Beelzebufo – The Devil Frog

Nicknamed the “Devil Frog”, Beelzebufo was the largest frog ever known.

It lived around 66 million years ago and was:

• As large as a beach ball
• Extremely powerful for its size
• Capable of eating small animals

Although exaggerated myths exist, scientists believe it could hunt small reptiles and mammals.
Modern Goliath frogs are its distant relatives.
