2. Pliosauria – Giant Sea Predators

Pliosaurs were some of the largest marine reptiles to ever exist.
Certain species grew up to 46 feet long, making them true sea monsters.

They had:

• Huge skulls
• Powerful jaws
• Strong flippers for fast swimming

These predators ruled ancient oceans for nearly 150 million years.
They went extinct during the same asteroid impact that wiped out dinosaurs around 66 million years ago.
