Cameroceras was one of the largest sea creatures of its time.

  • Lived around 470 million years ago
  • Body length around 6 feet
  • Shell length up to 24 feet
  • Belonged to the cephalopod group (related to squids and octopuses)

It hunted ancient sea scorpions and ruled early oceans. As marine life diversified and new predators appeared, Cameroceras disappeared.
