6. A Sultan Who Killed His Own Servants as ‘Respect’
In 1773, Morocco’s Sultan Moulay Ismail believed that anyone he killed personally would gain honor.
So he beheaded thousands of his own servants as “gratitude.”
Historians estimate he killed around 10,000 people during his reign.
